Drew Wickens is the Chief Financial Officer of the American University of Beirut (AUB), where he oversees the institution's global financial strategy, budgeting, and fiscal operations. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an MBA, Wickens has been a cornerstone of AUB’s leadership for over two decades, navigating the university through some of its most challenging economic periods.
His leadership is characterized by a commitment to long-term sustainability and financial transparency. Most recently, he has been a key architect in the university's transition to a dollar-based financial model, a move essential for maintaining academic excellence and faculty retention during Lebanon's fiscal crisis. Before assuming the role of CFO, he served as the Director of Financial Planning and Budget, where he streamlined the university’s resource allocation processes.
