Imad B. Baalbaki, PhD, is senior vice president for advancement and business development at AUB. He works closely with trustees, the president, and senior leadership in support of AUB’s academic and healthcare mission. He played a leading role in establishing AUB’s first twin campus outside Lebanon, the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo in Pafos, Cyprus, and led BOLDLY AUB: The Campaign to Lead, Innovate, and Serve, a seven-year fundraising campaign (2017-24) that raised more than $805 million for the university.
Baalbaki is an AUB alumnus (BBA ’85, MBA ’87) and holds a doctoral degree in marketing from Georgia Institute of Technology. A faculty member at AUB’s Suliman S. Olayan School of Business since 1993, and a former director of the business school (1997-2001), he is the author of numerous publications in marketing and co-author of two leading English-language marketing textbooks for the Arab world. In 2020, he was the recipient of the prestigious CASE Asia-Pacific Distinguished Service Award.
